Breakfast was cold, apple juice tasted like it had been watered down, Staff all polite and room ok apart from there being no toilet paper?
Beds much too hard and sheets smelt stale. Air conditioning FAR TOO NOISY!
I highly recommend staying in this beautiful hotel. The room we had was large, comfortable and had plenty of those little extras that make a good stay into a great stay. Perfect for theatre land and shopping. We will certainly be staying there again.
The shower kept on leaking and that the room had a funny smell to it. There was toilet roll still in the loo when i arrived. The receptionist had said that i had been upgraded but i didnt believe them.Overall the room was clean and tidy
clean , great room, great service, great location.would recommend 100%
the room we were allocated was of average size and was well furbished with a good sized bathroom. it was ideally placed for many tourist attractions & was within walking distance of theatreland ,National Gallery ,London eye, Covent Garden, Buckingham Palace, Trafalger square & many other places of interest. We found check-in staff helpful & the staff pleasant. We found it an ideal place to spend a few days and would definitely stay again.
Wow, hotel was lovely, room was great, and breakfast was beautiful. Will certainly be booking again through Hotel direct, I was really, really impressed.
Excellent hotel ideal for the theatre and in walking distant of most London attractions.
Hotel and room were great. Breakfast was ok but not the best.
Drinks expensive
From the check in to check out the service was excellent in all areas. Location excellent for all areas of London.
Well sistuated for the west end and central London. We had a good stay although only one night.Only thing we didn`t like was the tea at breakfast , out of a jug like a coffee jug had to ask for a pot of tea, when it came it was only a pot for two and there was four of us.But didn`t spoil our stay. Will most likely return
only appointment was we booked twin rooms but only doubles available
Hotel was really pretty and lots of character, however breakfast seemed chaotic and the staff seemed as if they didn`t enjoy their work, don`t stand in front of a waiter as you are likely to get mowed down as they pass you, Momhamed was there best asset at breakfast, professional, friendly and polite. food was good though but tea was dreadful would be better in a small pot. Great location in town for everything, bathroom needed a makeover as looked tired and a little grubby. Draw space inadequate and not enough cloth hangers.
This is our second visit to this hotel and it would always be my first choice. Staff are freindly and approachable not like some london hotels we have stayed in. The rooms are clean spacious and although this is a busy part of London the rooms are quiet from street noise as it is above a main line station. I would be very disappointed on my next visit to london if I could not book this hotel.
Service, Room, Food all great.
A bit slow at the reception and the restaurant but food good. Room standard same as any Premier Inn. Some maintenence required in the bathroom. Glad paid through 3rd party as would have been dissapointed if paid full price.
From check in to check out it was a pleasure to stay here, lovely staff and food, spacious bedrooms. location of hotel is perfect for touring everything in walkable distance, will definitely stay here again
On arrival I was pleased to find out that we had been upgraded free to an Executive Room - the room was spacious and the bed huge, but the location of the room 901 meant that we had the constant bcakground noise of what I assume was the air con units which were running 24/7. The bathroom tiling and fittings were `tired` and in need of replacement. Breakfast was poor - the restaurant was crowded with little room between tables - the greeter was not exactly the most welcoming person I have ever met - the food was average and in a four star plus hotel, I don`t expect to have to make my own toast ! There are better hotels in London which charge less.
breakfast poor very limited choice of cereals bacon all lumped together poorly cooked
maintenance is poor - we changed two rooms and both with basin broken
Great Hotel, Very central. Pay a little extra to stay here, and you gain it back with savings on taxi`s tubes, time etc. Surprisingly quiet! Very clean hotel Staff nice, nice dining room for an excellent breakfast. We have stopped at several hotel around central London and we will definately go back to Charing Cross.
A comfortable hotel. Lovely quiet bedroom, though everything a little bit faded and in need of a spruce up. But the lunch and drinks prices were ridiculously high and the service wasn`t that great either. £54 for a sandwich lunch and soft drinks for 4 people and nearly £9 for one Pimms and £35+ for a round of drinks for 4 in the evening was unexpected and extortionate. Would return to the hotel but go elsewhere for food and drinks!
Pros: Rooms clean, hotel breakfast ok, standard fare. Pros + Great Location, easy walking distance to Covent Garden and all the attractions, Cons: Hotel bar expensive, more than standard hotel prices.
the only negative comment is that the bar prices are well over the top even for london £6 for a malibu and £3 for a small bottle of coke
great brekfast, friendly staff, loved the candles in the eveningdown side broken sink and floor tiles in the bathroom
