Lovely hotel in a great position, very close to Placa Catalunya, just near Las Ramblas. Breakfast was excellent, lots to choose from. My only complaint would be that when you book a double room it seems to be pot luck what size room you get & i was very disappointed that our room was tiny! No where to put your suitcases, very little storage space. You could only just walk round the bed. So ok for a couple of nights. Other than that it was all ok.

Excellent hotel for location,helpfulness of reception staff, quality and variety of breakfasts and evening meal. Roof terrace lovely for relaxing. Bar service could be improved.

The location was very convenient and the included breakfast was good. Two internet connected computers in the lobby and snacks at tea time were nice touches. Also WiFi in rooms.Some guests were not happy with their rooms so this could affect your stay. Double glazing kept road noise to an acceptable level although we were on the sixth floor. The decor was quite modern and we had an interconnecting room to our children. Soundproofing is not too good from the hall or between rooms. Small fridge in room but English TV channels were poor. Sky News and CNN can drive you crazy.Value seemed quite reasonable and may stay again.

The hotel is well situated for seeing the sights, public transport links and local restaurants. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was first class with a wide and varied choice of food and drinkto suit all tastes. Our room was clean and comfortable however a bit small.

Good location, rooms very small but clean and nice shower. When checking in was asked for a voucher which I had not been sent when booked this stay therefore was told could not have room initally. Was eventually give a room but came for a celebration with friends and we had emailedt he hotel requesting rooms together, our friends were on the 1st floor and the other two rooms we had were on the 5th floor! Other staff, after check in, on reception were friendly and polite. Breakfast good and location excellent.

We really enjoyed our time in Barcelona and the Hotel is in a perfect location to take in all the attractions. The Hotel is clean, rooms are very good and the breakfasts are brilliant. If/when we return to the City we will have no hesitation to book into this Hotel.

This hotel was in a excellent location, the rooms were very clean and were well maintained. The maids were in on a daily basis which was great. The breakfast was also excellent, there was a good variety and was very nice. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. I would strongtly recommend staying in this hotel as you will not be disappointed!

Good hotel, located just off placa de catalunya so ideal for all transport systems roundtown - to and from airport etc. Ideal for Tourist Bus trips.Wife was in wheel chair in non specific disabled room and managed OK. (no Bath but walk in sitdown shower) - (only one lift so sometimes a wait) Room clean and comfortable - air conditioning was a little poor but no problem at night with windows open.Good range for breakfast although fruit seemed a little "old" on both of the two days we were there.Free internet access - WIFI.Excellent and very helpfull staff for directions, taxis, left luggage etc

We were moved to another hotel for the first evening - which was inconvenient as we only had 2 days in the city. We moved back the next night and were given a complimentary upgrade to a suite and free minibar drinks. The staff were great as I was not pleased at being moved. H10 hotels - their chain - seem very smart and clean and food good.

Fabulous hotel, great location, very helpful staff, wonderful breakfast, lovely bedrooms which were a little on the small side but wouldn`t put us off staying there again. Complimentary drink of local bubbly on arrival which was a nice touch and well appreciated. Would give it 10 out of 10.

The hotel`s location was good for the short visit I had. It gave good access to all the places I wanted to visit. The room was very clean and dispite some of the reviews I had read was large. I had a single room but had a double bed and friends had a super king sized bed. Lot of room including the bathroom. Breakfast was super, lots of choice.

Reception Staff were good and helpful. Restaurant Manager and therefore staff were decidedly off-hand. However visiting Spain frequently this is a problem with the Spanish generally.

We had an extreamly small room and paid the same price as larger rooms. I really feel these small rooms should be discounted. The hotel was full so we could not change rooms. Staff are friendly and breakfast was good with a choice to suit all. Location also good. Definate 4* hotel as long as you get a good size room with balcony.

The Hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was varied and again very good.The Hotel was only 100 metres from Plaza de Catalunya and the shopping areaIf there wasa adown side it was road noise and a rumble from the underground but this wouldn`t stop me from staying there again in the future.Central for everything

Hotel welcomed you with glass of champagne and then shown to your room. Breakfast was fantastic.. enough to feed a small nation and with all different things to try.. Staff very friendly Would go back again when coming back to Barcelona - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

This hotel provided good value for money in context and it is almost impossible, or pointless, to find fault. All staff were friendly, enthusiastic and exceptionally helpful. The cleanliness of the venue was striking, the decor and facilities were appropriate and help create a general ambience.The restuarant, although only used at breakfast, offered a high standard and impressive selection of menu choices.The only down side was the noise from the main street at the front of the hotel which continued throughout the night. This is hardly the fault of the hotel, but perhaps better quality double glazing may help?However, an enjoybale stay and a hotel which has many lessons and tricks of the trade to pass on to counterparts in the industry, especially in the UK!

Would not book for this hotel again although would like it noted that reception staff were most helpful when we experienced a problem outside of the hotel with theft of personal items.

Location absolutely perfect for the first-time tourist in Barcelona. Rooms clean and breakfasts give plenty to eat with a very good choice. Staff mostly speak english and are very polite and helpful. Get a good price deal and you have all you need.

We would certainly reccommend the H10 Universitat. All the staff were friendly and attentive and the food selection at breakfast was excellent, including egg, sausage and bacon!!

we could not fault the hotel from the moment we arrived to receive a glass of champagne at the reception to the time we booked out.All the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean throughout with good decor. The bedroom was very clean ( the only hipcup was we booked a double room and found twin beds). The fine array of food for breakfast was the best we have ever seen ranging from fresh fruit, cheeses, meats,cereal,bread for toasting and small bread loaves,to good old bacon eggs and sausage,all washed down with hot coffee or various flavours of tea.

Like a lot of hotels l have used in barcelona space is a premium and the Universitat is no different. l would suggest that any body staying at this hotel should ` e ` mail asking for a high floor with a main road facing room. the inner rooms are smaller than small and lower floors can result in road noise.and noise and slight vibration from the metro system which runs under neath the hotel. Do not worry i1ts really a good value hotel if you get the righr room.

Conveniently located with walking distance of the "La Rambla", this hotel offers complete peace of mind, so wether you are just flying out for the weekend or a long week, this hotel has excellent rooms, superb shower facility, champagne reception welcome with all the kranks, I stayed with a group of ten people, and we were well looked after, Must comment on the excellent breakfast in the morning, so overall from me and the group 10/10.

Can`t fault, perfect service, perfect rooms, perfect location.We will be back!

This Hotel is locted very close to the Las Ramblas area of Barcelona, we were welcomed with a glass of champayne of arrival and had inter connecting rooms for our two girls. Nice clean contemporary styled rooms.The breakfast choice was fantastic and the staff very friendly, definitely will book this hotel again!
