My initial impression at reception wasn`t great, it was a bit shabby and there were random items sitting around in the corridor like a baby car seat! When we got into the apartment itself I was very impressed, very large spacious rooms, clean and tidy.. all you could ask for really. It a good area for the classy bars and clubs.. not far from oxford street, picadilly, leicester square etc. Lver all - Great value for money!!
A very conveniently located building with no little character. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The only downside was that the crittle windows offered little sound insulation. My wife is a light sleeper and was disturbed by the sound of the street cleaners in the early hours of the morning. The tarriff is cheap for the area but about right for what you get. I would have no hesitation staying there again if going out in London as it is cheaper than a taxi back to Surrey.
Bathroom generally looked old and need of a refresh, had grout missing on window ledge tiles.Difficult to find suitable power plugs - nothing handy near desk, had to use a plug for kettle on other side of room to the tray.Fridge needed a defrost.Window blinds meant inconvenient to close/open as there weere 6.Windows were difficult to close and some couldn`t be - a noisy location.
We had a great stay at the hotel, it was close to Green Park and Buckingham Palace. Close to restaurants and bars. Staff was very helpful and kind.
Nice location , a bit dated inside but clean and tidy. Staff were polite and a great help, nothing too much bother for them. I will use again and would reccomend this hotel. Great place!!
Had a gr8 time in london but the hotel needs updating very basic, staff helpful
Carpets dirty, curtains are a joke, windows very old and difficult to open, as the room is on a very busy street, window should be double glaised.would not stay again.
I was lucky to be upgraded to a large well equipped two bedroom apartment, which was pretty comfortable. The only issue I had was the TV was really small for the room. Also the room was a little cold and when I asked at reception when the heating came on I was told October !! The heat goes off May to September regardless of the outside temparature !!
The reviews about this hotel are accurate - apart from the reception area, this hotel does urgently need refurbishment and investment. However, for location to central London and if you need an apartment rather than a hotel i.e. somewhere to cook and eat, this would work for you.
Got a good discount on the room, was upgraded to an apartment for free. Hotel staff were all pleasant and friendly, rooms were basic though, no real styling and the floorboards creaked very loudly. Met our needs and would concider returning.
me and my girlfriend had a amazing time in a amazing city and the accomadation complemented our stay, we are already looking to book again soon.
we arrived in london earlie and had been spending , we had lots of bags and decided to go to the curzon at 1pm to see if we could just leave our bags at reception , we couldnt check in normally till 3pm , when we arrived we explained to the staff on the desk who kindly said our room was available , that was fabulous , how kind was he, he didnt have to do that as check in time was 3pm, we was so happy with our room , it was so comfortable and clean, everything was nicely set out , kitchen , bathroom , very clean , towels clean, can not fault it at all, will be staying there again and will be recommending the curzon to friends,
only one blanket on bed
Does what it says on the tin :-) A good place to stay - a little dated but well situated and comfortable
Our 1-bed accomm with comprehensive clean and working kitchen facilities was excellent for our six-night stay. Bedding and towels immaculate, changed every day, plenty of room for clothes storage. Rooms lovely and warm. Friendly staff. One complaint - on arrival it was clear the bathroom floor had not been cleaned for weeks and it took four days for this to be rectified. Our apartment (26) is due for repainting, but quality of fitments good.
clean & tidy we only needed somewhere to sleep & it fitted the bill just fine
I would recommend it to my friends
had a 1 bedroom apartment to myself. Decor a bit dated but had everything you might need for short or long stay.
I was first given a suite on the first floor but it was exceptionally noisey owing to the weight of traffic in Curzon Street. I do not think it was double glazed. The reception staff were very helpful and relocated me to a studio room at the back of the building which was perfectly quiet. The room had everything I needed but was in need of a redecoration. It was priced the same as the suite on the road side. As I was travelling on my own I preferred a smaller room to a very noisey one!
Only downside was luke warm water in the morning
Friendly helpful staff. Reasonably clean rooms. Certainly not luxurious but nice big beds. Very convenient for Mayfair. I would certainly use this hotel again.
We stayed at the Curzon Plaza as we were out for the night at the theatre, we initially booked a studio apartment but were upgraded to a one bedroom apartment which was very clean and luxurious, our only regret is that we didnt spend alot of time in the room, would definately recommend to other and would stay there again
Staff very friendly and helpful. Bathroom a little disappointing size wise.
Hotel does need some updating. VERY thin windows felt like I was sleeping outside. Staff welcoming. You are paying for a great location other hotels in area three times more expensive.
Room heating - poor; bath plug did not fit properly rendering bath inadequate; very difficult to open windows for ventilation. Otherwise OK. Staff friendly and helpful.
The staff in this hotel are very professional and helpful. It`s a in a great location, close to Piccadilly, but quiet and peaceful inside, with no traffic noise. The rooms are just a little bit shabby, but it`s a good deal for the price and I`d definitely go back.
hotel was pleasant and tidy staff very attentive thought rooms were dated and in need of modernising but did not spoil are stay at all ample space and very adequate for all requiremets
Good Location, Very big and very clean appartment. Hotel staff very polite, Had to use my debit card to pay a 20pound insurance on my key but was refunded it when i left, there was no warniing of this. Had a great stay
Reception staff were welcoming and efficient, but the 1 bedroom apartment was poorly furnished and the decor was in desparate need of updating and a new lick of paint. The bathroom was clean, but badly stained and very out-dated
