I`ve stayed a number of times ..and always returned as i`ve always considered every aspect of my stay to be excellent. The reception - particularly the noise, are dreadful. The noise can be heard from rooms and yet you are still charging the same rate?! I requested my car 15 minutes before leaving as i was in a hurry - the keys were still in the draw when I checked-out. We returned later for a quick cup of tea - after 17 minutes I chased it - nearly 10 minutes later we received them (simply two cups of tea). They were free of charge because of the delay, but I`d now think twice before returning if this is the new level of service offered throughout?
We stayed here for 2 nights. It is undergoing a re-fit. However the staff were more than helpful. The service was very good. We did not use the food area as we ate out. Only problem no Kettle in the room. Did not say if you could or could not drink the tap water, nor was there any instructions for the shower or how to work the tap shower. On the first morning we had no shower as it broke down. So we had no time eat. Overall it was not bad. We would stay there again if the price was right.
I would book to stay here again any time I was in London. I was disappointed I wasn`t given a room with river view, but next time I`ll specify that`s what I expected.
space good, luxuriously fitted and kitted, friendly staff, efficient;9/10
We enjoyed a two night stay with our four children aged between 1 and 11. We had two adjoining rooms which worked well. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Inclusive continental breakfast worthwhile as would work out pretty expensive without. Insuite dining was also good, and offers flexibility and more than the usual room service The pool was nice, clean and seemed quiet. This is our second stay here, the first without children, and I would definitely recommend.
Great location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Service was excellent all round. The fixtures and fittings in the building are looking a bit old fashioned now and in some places in definite need of replacement (rusty shower brackets, broken handrail in the sauna). The full English breakfast was very average for the price. You can get much better for the money. The coffe was cheap and nasty conference coffee, I travel a lot on business and you really notice when the coffee is decent. For the cost of the hotel and 5 stars I expect the details to be immaculate. Minor stuff though, overall very happy with the stay. We were celebrating a 10th anniversary and my wife loved the suite and the view of the harbour. It definitely still has a wow factor but is dating fast. I would stay there again, esspecially if it has a refurb.
We booked the Wyndham based on feedback on tripadvisor after our usual stopping point, The Savoy was closed for refurb, The Dorchester wanted silly money and i have had a bad `Ritz` experience and i have to say i wasn`t dissapointed. The rooms are lovely, the facilities are more than adequate and the Breakfast was nice and varied.Would definately stay again.
The room was not ready for the 3pm check-in and was only available at 4pm. There was no alternative offered and no apology made.
We stayed 2 nights at this fabulous hotel, we wish we had time to stay longer. The rooms are truly excellent. Ours was immaculately presented, with all of the decor and furnishings of the highest quality. We found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, they let themselves down slightly by failing to look after trivial things, like the provision of milk, sugar and a kettle in the room to go with the tea that was provided. I had requested some flowers and champagne to be placed in the room for our arrival, but somehow that was omitted. They redeemed themselves later though with the provision of a complimentary bottle. The hotel is a little out of the mainstream areas, but for us that was a bonus as it provided a respite from London`s hustle and bustle. Overall though this has been our best ever London hotel and we would definately use it again.
There were some stains on the cushions on the bed but apart from that the room was clean and comfortable.
Lovey hotel, a wee bit out of the way, but was very comfortable, good breakfast, bathroom was avaragely clean, meldewy smell from shower and taps leaked, but lovely fluffy towles and plentyfull hot water. Room staff took away used glasses from the mini bar and did not replace or replenish the mini bar. Beds very comfy, room clean and well stocked with magazines. Very friendly polite staff, nothing too much trouble. Overall very good stay. Would use this hotel again.
A step above the other hotels in the same price bracket, the Wyndham provides you with an oasis of calm and quality in the heart of London. The rooms were luxurious with everything catered for. The only slight moan is that the service in the restaurant for breakfast differed greatly day to day. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel. Having stayed at a number of other hotels in the same area, the Wyndham is in a different class.
our visit to London for the Royal Garden Party 8th July was a special ocassion for us and the hotel helped to make this a very memorable time. rooms were excellent , comfortable, well appointed good for relaxing. Staff most helpful and kind restaurant staff particularly made us feel welcome. thanks for a very pleasant stay
The Hotel looks great and has nice views. Lots of hidden extra costs involved in staying there with the parking, food etc. We also found the swimming disappointing not exactly Grand. Rooms were fantastic!
Overall very good, let down by limited Wine List at bar no Sauvignon by the glass.
Breakfast was a bit disorganised. We asked three times for our tea and for extra hot water, and four times for more butter. Apologies when butter finally came, saying they had run out!!! Not a very good impression for customers to this otherwise lovely hotel.
Took my parents here for their 60th wedding anniversary and, as our rooms weren`t ready when we arrived at 4pm (due to previous occupants checking out late) we were given free upgrades to the Penthouse Suites - we`ve stayed in a lot of hotels and we`re very fussy, but these suites were totally amazing - every room in the suite was super spacious, luxuriously decorated, huge jacuzzi & sauna in the bathroom, even a treadmill! Fantastic views from our lounge and vast balcony ofver Chelsea harbour, the Thames and the London Eye, there was nothing amiss. food in the Aquasia restaurant was superb and we were thrilled to find John MacEnroe, Martina Navratilova and John Lloyd dining near us for breakfast! Absolutely fabulous hotel and will definitely return there a.s.a.p.
One of the best hotels I have stayed at. Reception and doorman could not be anymore helpful.Highly recommended.
Tube station 1/2 an hour away so taxis necessesary to get anywhere-good restaurents on kings road 10min walking
The Wyndham has become my home away from home when over in London - it`s discrete, stylish, filled with pleasant staff and wonderful, large suites with gorgeous marina views...a class act.
Wonderful hotel: beautiful location, luxurious rooms & inconsistent service! While some staff are really helpful, others are rude/incompetent! A shame. 1. despite complimentary tea there was no kettle; we asked for one but it never arrived. Phoned again later after dinner & this time it did appear. 2. We didn`t have swimwear & the pool looked lovely! In-room info said sportswear could be lent to guests, but when we asked the Health Suite the rude ?no? was almost a grunt! 3. Kept trying to charge extra for breakfast, which was included in our room rate. 4. Most worryingly: reception phoned at 2am to say we had a visitor: a complete stranger, obviously they couldn`t have given our name! Received 2 more calls from this "visitor" during the night. A nice receptionist the next day promised to investigate and said he`d phone with an update (no news yet). Good things: fab bar & harbour-view terrace, beautiful rooms/beds (turned down while we were at dinner ? nice touch) & the balcony.
Excellent service, good food. The suites are spacious and everyone was very helpful. Restaurant is a little quiet in the evening.
This hotel, overlooking Chelsea Harbour, is wonderfully airy and spacious - the rooms are beautiful and well-planned with everything one needs (except wine glasses and hand soap). Breakfast is fantastic. The staff were helpful and pleasant, with the exception of one young lady on reception. However, having to pay an extra £35 for parking was a surprise .
Room excellent; staff welcoming, needs more seating in public areas
I can`t believe in 30 years of living in london that I didn`t know about this fantastic hotel-the rooms are the best i have ever stayed in - will definitely be back
Service was second to none and stand by what i said in headline.
Very impressed with the quality of our particular suite which seems to have anticipated all our possible needs and met them with comfort, practicality and style.
would use again, was for a surprise birthday for my 28 yr old wife, who fell in love with it. the only downside was a wedding party there who did not show any respect for anyone else, and kept us awake untill 3am.!! a money off token for another visit would have been nice. a lot of staff did not speak or understand english, which sometimes made it difficult to make yourself understood, but not too much of a problem. It was a very long walk from the nearest station,(no high heels ladies), As a young couple we thought it was the ultimate in luxury, and have promised to take my two young daughters as a treat. many thanks for a lovely time.
