Staff were polite and friendly and the buffet breakfast (which was included in the price) was good. With respect, the hotel was average at best (I would rate it as just 2-star by UK standards). It is in a protracted period of renovation which is badly needed. The internal stairs, for example, slope alarmingly, the lift is tiny and the room (we had to be moved as we were a family of four, placed initially in a room with 3 single beds), whilst reasonably comfortable and clean, was very basic and decorated from the 70s. The Metro station was right outside the front door which was a bonus. I would not stay here again, but it depends what you are looking for, I suppose, and how much you want to pay.
Lovely new panoramic breakfast room and excellent breakfast. Great staff throughout.
One lift has been out of action for a long period and the other lift was not operating for some of our stay. The breakfast is disappointing. But the rooms are fairly large for Paris and the reception staff are always helpful and friendly. It is in a good location with excellent bus and metro links.
Don`t judge a book by its cover. Pictures on the internet do not represent the reality. The hotel was in a great location for all the city attractions if you dont mind a little walk. Room was clean. Staff were very friendly. Many parts of this hotel could do with an upgrade but if you want a cheap hotel in an ok area then look no further.
The hotel is very convenient for tourists especially first time visitors to Paris. The staff were very helpful and spoke excellent english and the rooms were good size and spotless.
The Brebant is reasonably priced and you get what you pay for. The room was old and tired but was clean and comfortable. The staff were very polite and very helpful. We found the hotel to be an excellent base from which to explore the city. The hotel is currently being refurbished and you get a taste of what the finished product will be like when you use the newly refurbished breakfast room. Looks like they are going for a `boutique hotel` look. That will mean increased prices! We would book again.
We booked a family room for four and were disappointed to discover that our triple room would have to accommodate an extra bed. We were expecting four full sized beds not 3 and a cot or small child`s bed or similar. When the bed was delivered it wasn`t put up properly and fell on my foot when I put a suitcase on it! Four beds in a triple room was quite a squeeze only one of us could get out of bed to the side, three of us got in and out via the end!On the up side - Great location / great breakfast.
The Brebant`s rooms have seen better days. The rooms and the bathrooms are dated, very small and shabby. They were not really suitable for a family of four. However they were cleaned everyday. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially on the reception. The breakfast room was one of the saving graces of the hotel, it was light and modern, the breakfast was EXCELLANT and the staff were fab. The location is on a very busy road and as the doors didn`t work properly in our room we did feel at times that we were laying in a bar with traffic zooming around us. Would we stay here again? not sure if the bedrooms and bathrooms improved we might think about it.
Twin rooms were very small for two people and wardrobe door was broken, but beautiful breakfast room and good restaurant downstairs. Reception staff was very good apart from when we checked out. Bar fridge tab was overcharged.
The hotel was comfortable and convenient for the metro. The facilities were good and the breakfast was all you`d need.It was warm and there was a good seal on the window which cut out the traffic noise. (Could do with decorating.)
Enjoyed stay and hotel being outside metro station was very good.Breakfast was good although would have liked meat and cheese and not just jam with bread rolls.Room clean and tidy but a bit noisy at night if your room faces main road.Would stay there again
Good location - within easy access (even walking distance) to all central Paris places of interest. Extremely friendly, courteous and helpful staff. Great breakfasts - easy check-in and check out. Would certainly stay there again and can highly recommend for others to stay.
The room was comfortable with good heating and individual airconditioning. The decor is looking a little tired but the hotel is full of character. Did not notice any smoke alarms in the bedroom or bathroom but then French fire regulations may be different from ours here in the UK. Would certainly stay there again.
Great location within walking distance of many attractions - Louvre, Notre Dame, Pompidou Centre, Musee D`Orsay, Les Halles. Next to a Metro station with easy access to Gare Du Nord. Good range of restaurants in immediate neighbourhood. Hotel itself in need of a face-lift but room and bathroom were clean and suprisingly big for Paris. Good Continental breakfast. Very helpful staff all speaking good English.
Choose this hotel for the reason it looked like a parisain hotel inside, needs a lick of paint but it`s a shame it`s going to have a complete revamp as it will become just another hotel.
Have been told that the hotel is due for a refurbishment . The room we were in while ok definitely needs serious updating.
The hotel is in need of renovation and they have begun the process. It will be lovely when finished. As is the hotel is very good value for the money and the air condition works great!!!All staff were really helpful and nice!
Not luxurious but clean, tidy and efficient. Staff were friendly and attentive. Continental breakfast very satisfying.
Reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The location was just great for myself and my daughter, with Grand Boulevards metro directly outside the hotel entrance. 5-10 minutes walk turning right out of the entrance takes you to a great shopping area, with 2 large department stores. The whole area around the hotel is jam packed with restaurants and cafes. We had a twin room on the 3rd floor and it was clean and surprisingly large for Paris. The breakfast was continental and I can recommend the apricot pastry. We had a great stay at this hotel and I will recommend it for position, value and comfort.
Staff were very friendly, breakfast was good, the position of the hotel is excellent, towels and sheets were changed regularly, my only reservation is that the decor is past its sell by date, but I believe that rectification of ths is in hand. In saying this I would like to mention that one of the salons with a large painting and mirrors is quite impressive and would not be too much altered.
Understand that the hotel has now been bought by Holiday Inn. Not a moment too soon. Desperately in need of some TLC
Helpful reception staff .
I liked this hotel. great value for money, rooms clean and bright, staff very helpful. Right in the middle of Paris with a tube stop right outside and within two or three stops of all the major attractions. Okay its not the Ritz but for what you are paying its great value for money. Enjoyed our stay.
We stayed here for 3 nights, location was fantastic, so close to metro station and had bars & shops close by. Hotel itself was basic and dated but very clean and tidy. Staff were all very helpful and all spoke excellent english.
Spent two days in Paris with my daughter - one night at the hotel. It was comfortable and clean and the reception staff were very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful. Access from the hotel to the sights was very good - the metro was literally outside the front door. The hotel was within walking distance to the Seine. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel for the day once we had checked out. We had a very nice meal in the restaurant attached to the hotel. I would go back to the Brebant.
