Our stay at the Mespil Hotel was nothing short of excellent. the rooms were clean, the staff were very helpful at all times and the breakfast was superb with lots of choice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone as its it excellent value for money and I would go back there.Mr Steer
We did have a problem with the flush on the toilet but we told the management the next morning and the problem was sorted that day.
Clean comfartable room. Friendly staff and lovely breakfast .Thanks
Want too sure what to expect when booking the Mespil. Hotel was exellent Great fast food service from tha bar in the evenings. Breakfast had loads to offer which was really good. Nice clean well decorated room. Hotel was situated approx 20mins walk from town, but in a nice quiet area with shops and a few restaurants. Fish and chip shop that sold gluten free fish and chips literally just down the road, which was a great surprise. Definately recommended if you dont mind a short walk to town.
Great rates for this hotel three for two wonderful. Nice clean hotel good room tempreture and breakast was lovely. Not too far to walk to everything.
I would certainly reccommennd this hotel. Its about a 10/15min walk into town or you can get a bus at the end of the street. Hotel was lovely, nice staff and the rooms were spotless. Fab breakfast.Would definatley return
Helpful friendly staff with comfortable rooms. Restful decor, comfortable beds and plenty of clothes hangars. Showers were OK but could do with improving. Main area that could do with refreshing is the food - unimaginative breakfast and dinner menu - adequate but not great. Front of house staff are definitely a great asset.
We would definitely stay here again - superb! Our accommodation was first class and all of the hotel staff were extremely friendly and polite. All of our requirements were met and the food was excellent, especially from the Bar Menu. We would loved to have stayed longer!
Having read a couple of other guest reviews I had reservations, but actually was very happy with the hotel. Clean, well presented and bright.. Only negative would be the breakfast, which was buffet style and a little dry due to being under the food warmers, but it was far from inedible though.
We enjoyed every moment of oyur stay at the Mespil Hotel. It uis the second time that we have stayed there. On both occassions we had a very satisfactory vacation. The Hotel is situated not far from St Stephen`s green. It is a modern building. Inside it is very well appointed. The room was clean and attractive with plenty of room. The breakfast was good and efficiently organised. We did noty make use of the bar or dining facilities. The staff are the hotel`s best asset.
The only negative is that the bed in our room was very creaky, otherwise we enjoyed our stay.
towels were too small
Rooms are clean but fairly basic. Breakfast was good and the hotel is well placed to be close to the centre without being too noisy. Staff are very helpful at reception and the hotel has a secure car park which is a bonus.
Hotel is well located in South Dublin city. Free car parking is included in the room rate with free street parking available at weekends. Breakfast is buffet style and substantial.Staff are helpful and very friendly.
We spent 3 nights at the Mespil in Dublin for New Year, the staff were all helpful and friendly. Our room overlooked the canal and was clean and comfortable with a lovely view, even though the weather outside was cold the hotel was always lovely and warm. We saw the new year in, with other guests and staff in the bar. Breakfast was plentiful and well prepared. We had one evening meal in the hotel which was really nice too. Only downside comment would be we took a while to find the hotel due to the directions from the airport bus, Leeson Street is a lot nearer than Jury`s Ballsbridge. Overall though an enjoyable, comfortable stay, we would return
Lovely, pleaseant stay and very helpful staff. 108 the window was reported as faulty,as there wasno bottom catch, therefore, the wondow was not securly closed, causing a large draft and traffic noise. otherwise everything was great and relaxing, would use this chain of hotel again. Perhaps you could have herbal teas in the room and buscuits.
The location is good with a few pubs, restaurants and mini mart type shops within 5 mins walk; however, the rooms appear tired but are currently under going a lick of paint. I do think that they will need slightly more than this as my lampshade was tatty and torn, carpet was worn, the ceiling was stained (the paint will sort this), and the general decor was very dated . I had to change rooms after the first night as the bed creaked like a campbed; the staff were understanding and I was changed without any fuss. The staff are very pleasant and the hotel is comfortable but a few simple additions would have been welcomed i.e. a clock, towels that weren`t so thin and small, and hash browns at breakfast! Having said all of this, I will return as the value & location tip the balance.
The hotel room was quiet and a good size, staff were very pleasant and helpful. Good breakfast. Would recommend to anyone wanting a good priced central hotel.
The staff are very friendly & made us feel welcome. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone staying in Dublin.
Everything about this hotel was fantastic, Simple.
The hotel is excellent - yes it is about 1 mile from Grafton Street, but a nice walk up the canel, through the park and your there. The room was clean, comfy and had everything you needed. I would stop here again - great hotel
The hotel had easy access from/to the airport bus route. Was a little distant from the town centre if walking. Enjoyable breakfast and reasonably priced bar food. Room was bright and clean, and lounge area at reception was pleasant and well furnished
The first contact is reception which is staffed by well presented, polite, cheerful and well informed people. The room was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Slight problem with the t.v. which was changed within minutes of reporting it. There was no disturbance from outside. The restaurant and bar again has very pleasant staff and the food could not be faulted. Easy access to the centre of town and convenient for airport bus. All in all great value for money, would go again.
Excellent service, and good value too. I have stayed there before and would stay there again when next I am in Dublin.
An excellent Hotel everything about our stay was perfect
