We chose the Louvre St Honore because of its close proximity to the Louvre and to a Metro station. We were very pleasantly surprised by the general clean neat and tidy conditions and especially the friendlyness of the staff who made the effort to make our first visit to Paris a very pleasant one.
LIked this hotel. Nice rooms very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good and plenty of it. Rooms large and clean. Bathrooms large with large shower. One point, we nor anyone else could make the over head shower work and had to rely on the side shower which wasn`t as good. All that said I would stay there again and recommend it (one word of caution do NOT use the near by chemist tried to charge me £15 for two batters with the excuse `But we are near the Louve. Ya right).
I stayed for 4 day long weekend break and the hotel was ideal for access for most attractions as well as 5 minutes walk from the metro station. Only issues during the stay was the lift not operational on arrival (sort in less than half a day) and the hot water going off, again sorted very quickly.
Clean and well decorated room with modern en-suite and efficient air con. Very helpful staff. Brilliant location in quiet street, 2 minutes to Metro, 4 minutes walk to Louvre. Breakfast fair, but good value for money. Will definitely use again and recommend to friends.
I was aware of the excellent location of the hotel but it is the first time that I have used it. On walking into reception the cleanliness and modern decor provided a very good first impression. The room itself maximised the space with sufficient wardrobe space and a large very clean bathroom. The breakfast provided a very good range of foods and the standard was excellent . The breakfast room was extremely pleasant and tastefully decorated. Staff at the reception were always on hand and helpful at all times. I would definitely stay there again when I visit Paris and I will recommend it to anyone I know that is planning to stay in Paris.
Hotel has greatly improved this time round. Varied breakfast buffet -even bacon and scrambled egg which was a surprise to find in Paris. Only glitch was that the lift was out of service on the morning that we were checking out which meant we had to climb up to the sixth floor to pack and then lugged our luggage down again.
We spent 4 ninights at the Louvre St Honore and would highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay in cenrtal Paris.
Clean, comfortable, and within walking distance of most of Paris`s cultural treasures. This includes the Louvre, Notre Dame, Place du Halles, and many more palaces, museums, and churches. My only caveat: the wireless internet didn`t work the 2 days I stayed, and for the price I paid it should have. A pleansant and welcoming stay, I would recommend.
Room newly refurbished to a high standard. Quiet considering the central location. Small but adequate for a short stay. Pity the lobby was still being renovated but as we were out most of the time this did not matter too much to us.
Only rather thick duvets available on beds which we found far too warm. Eventually one blanket was found which replaced my wife`s duvet. But I had to put up with a duvet and had uncomfortable nights.
The hotel was everything a visit to Paris needs. Air Conditioning as it can be very warm, even when it rains. Location. A stones throw from the Louvre and easy walking distance to Pompidou, D`Orsay, Notre Dame and plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. Then if you go out you`ll trip over the Metro entrances. For all that, it is so quiet evry night sleep goes undiisturbed and teh bedrooms were large for Paris. This was a great base from which we enjoyed another time in Paris. Would recommend to those that go to learn a little French. It will make your stay so much more pleasureable. The French warm to the effort even if it`s bad.
Although hotel very clean and comfortable, there was no mention that the hotel was being re-furbed during our stay.5 days before our stay, I contacted the hotel directly to arrange for Champagne to be in the room on our arrival and discussed the cost involved. On arrival, no champagne. I then asked the guy on reception for this to be carried out while we went for a short walk. On returning to the room, again no champagne and it never did arrive. There was no mention in the hotel or rooms the breakfast times. When arriving at breakfast we found that it was just closing and the breakfast staff was very rude to us. An official of the hotel said it would be ok for us to still have breakfast but the breakfast staff continued to be very rude to us for the duration that we soon left and had to source breakfast away from the hotel.
The main problem we experienced with the hotel was the attitude of one of the staff. We arrived for breakfast about 10 minutes before closing and the lady gave us hell for that and would not give us coffee. Apart from that small incident the stay was fine.
The website stated that tea and coffee making facilities were available in the rooms. When we arrived and found they were not we were told that the new management of the hotel decided not to provide them.Dissaponting.
The Louvre St Honore Hotel is excellently placed close to the Louvre a ns just a short distance from both RER and Metro. There are very nice resteraunts and bars close. The rooms are well laid out, clean and well appointed. Breakfast was of good quality and sufficiency. Check-in and out is approximately mid day, but facilities are available to leave luggage outside of these times. Our room was on the from of the hotel overlooking the street but it is not a busy one and we were not disturbed by the traffic at night. We will be returning to Paris at bsome time and would definitely use this hotel again. Jacqui & Kevin Knight.
Ideally located and very friendly hotel. Room perfectly adequate for our needs. Bathroom recently refurbished with excellent shower. Lift a bit small, two`s company three`s a squash!!Would definitely use again.
Arrived at noon to be told check in was at 14.00. That`s OK except at 14.00 we were told our room had an electrical problem and that we had been found a room elsewhere. Why we couldn`t have been told that at noon is not understood by us. As we had already parked our car for overnight some way away with a lot of luggage we couldn`t really return to it, and consequently had to take a taxi at our expense (?16) to the new hotel. This turned out to be the equivalent of three metro stops from our car the next morning, which became a very inconvenient journey in itself. Very disappointed. I would though recommend the hotel we wee placed into, being the Hotel Mathis off the Champs.
Small but adequate breakfast room overlooking lovely well planted atrium. Buffet breakfast to a good standard. All staff efficient and courteous. Bedrooms at the front of the hotel overlooking Ave St Honaire affected by street noise until early hours and then again at dawn.
A well-placed hotel for some super restaurants nearby and handily placed for the River, the Louvre and other sightseeing opportunities. (Check out Muriel at Cityrama office for the Gray Line tour!)Rooms are comfortable and well kept, although additional shower screens would improve the wet floor situation. Some street noise overnight (but this is typical of Paris!!), and effective curtains lengthen the night! Left luggage cupboard is a definite advantage. Friendly welcome and scrambled egg and bacon at a feast of a breakfast was a pleasant and welcome surprise! Hotel will definitely receive a return vivsit from me!
Found this hotel to be close to most of the main sights in Paris , rooms small but very comfortable especially the large bed. The staff were very friendly & helpful, I would recommend this hotel to others
Made very welcome by relief Night Receptionist who was very helpful and obliging. Room was good but hotel web site said and showed complimentary tray of kettle, tea and coffee. This was not available however, as the rooms had had an update and now not availabe. Site needs to be kept up to date with information. Breakfast very good, but one of waitresses very rude. Breakfast was until 10, but she was wanting to rush you out.
Difficult to fault - clean, comfortable with good service. Not pretentious in any way. One note of caution only - lifts are very small - you need to be fit if you don`t want to use them!Otherwise, very good!
Exactly as expected. Basic, no frills but clean. Very nice staff helpful and corteous.Hotel is within a couple of minutes of the louvre, siene and lots of good bars and cafes. Would highly recommend Great value
Huge room was fantastic but new bed sheets and new beds are needed. The sheets were full of holes and the woolen covers and top cover looked like they had not been changed in some time.TV in room had no picture and no remote control. Advised problem with main ariel?? I would guess it has not worked in a very long time.Bathroom was huge and very clean but the shower over flowed and room became flooded so constant smell of damp.Though dated and worn the room was kept spotless by the cleaners. Only problem I had was that my room was on the ground floor and they forgot to close the patio doors so anyone could have easily got into my room. This left me concerned as I was in Paris on business and never returned until late in the evening I worried each day if the doors had again been left open and had I been burgled. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent potential but needs a little care and attention.
Pleasant hotel with small but adequate breakfast facilities. Great position. We had a deluxe room which wasnt huge but the bed was great. Hot on the 7th floor, you could have the windows open as long as you are happy to stare into each others rooms! Very tiny reception area virtually non exsistent! Good pizza restaurant next door which was great after a long days walk around Paris.
Only stayed for one night , Found the staff very helpful and polite, nice breakfast and would stay there again and would also recommend it ...thanks very much
Clean, tidy and had all the necessary basic requirements. The best thing was the location as most of the main tourist attractions are within walking distance. Breakfast was basic but ok.
