This hotel is away from the action, though the local area can be quite noisy with several alarms going off during our stay, the room is fairly stereo typical , but was clean and tidy, the cooked breakfast was plentiful , a few more choices on the cereal fruit & yoghurt side would have been welcomed by the wife. The pool is warm and seriously underused, the gym was a bit busier., this was a great bonus. Please note the lockers need a euro which is refunded. The wife would have liked to be a bit closer, but i am not sure that there are any hotels with pool any nearer and i really like to use a pool.
staff very helpful and considerate i would recommend
could not fault this hotel food good service good staff helpfull very clean hotel and lovely room
Faultless Hotel what more can you say
I really enjoyed my stay at the Camden Court Hotel. Staff were helpful, polite and friendly. Really enjoyed the leisure centre, especially the swimming pool which was well looked after and clean. Location was perfect. Overall an enjoyable experience and I would definately recommend it.
Would stay there again. Fitness facilities goo and central enough location
Arrived at hotel and checked in very quickly. Free limited car parking - safe and secure. Bedroom was massive and very comfortable. Shower had plenty of hot water but head leaked abit and soaked bathroom floor. Had bar meal in the evening which was very reasonable and tasty. Breakfast was disappointing. Fried eggs were not properly cooked- the yokes were raw, mushrooms were raw and bacon was hard. Breakfast is cheaper if booked online. Swimming pool was great and jacuzzi was fantastic - really warm. Towels provided.Would visit hotel again. Staff were very friendly.
This hotel used to be great and offered great service and value for money. Now it is very expenisive and the customer service, food and hotel standards are very poor. Such a shame, I think this may be due to the hotel focusing on the tour / international and corporate market and forgetting the customers that come back time after time!!! The room was so hot and bed uncomfortable.I do not recommend this hotel.
would use this hotel again
We were due to fly back on Friday 16 April with Ryanair. All the staff were most helpful in trying to call Ryanair/accessing their website. We had to stay over another night and get the ferry back. All the staff were very friendly and polite and bent over backwards in trying to help us find alternative route home. We couldnt thank them enough. We found the service and food to be very good. Good location - we walked into Dublin centre and back every day, It was only a very short walk from the concert hall - the main reason for our visit. Unfortunately the concert was cancelled on the Thursday night as Russell Watson was unable to make the journey over due to no flights. Our room was kept spotless by the staff. Excellent breakfast.
The hotel was not as close to the Dublin city centre as we hope it was. The shops close by was not restaurants and cafe but a lot of seedy shops. The restaurant in the Hotel was expensive and did not open every day. We will not stay there again or recommend it to our friends.
Excellent stay, hotel facilities were very good, as was the restuarant food and service.
Good base to go exploring dublin from. Breakfast was excellent and all staff very friendly. roadside rooms can be quite noisy but we asked to be moved and were moved inboard without question. Gymnasium and leisure facilities a real bonus. Definately stay again.. Purchase a 72 hour bus pass which gets you to and from the airport all the buses into the city centre and use of the tour buses.
The Camden court was a nice hotel, it was clean, plenty of room and the reception staff were helpful and friendly, however my boyfriend and I found the staff serving breakfast to be unwelcoming and miserable. We never complain however we ordered room service at around half 8 at night after a long day out, the food was awful, only to be described as microwaved food, the duck wrap was horrible, so was the burger and the beef noodles was even worse. We were undecided on whether to just chill out in the room with room service or go to the pub next door for some pub grub, we were extremely dissappointed that we didnt opt for the pub as the food looked lovely there at a lower price. We would stay at the Camden court again as the Breakfast was lovely and the hotel on the whole is ideal for a nice place to stay at Dublin, however would not order room service. Sorry about the negative reviews just wanted to let you know so it can be improved for future guests.
Nice hotel with nice reception area and helpful staff. Realy good location. problem was that the room had a nasty smell and the road was very loud. On the third night we were asked to move to the other side of the hotel as there would be a party below us. It was good of them to let us know, but having to pack all of our things and move to another room to unpack again was a real inconvieniance and disrupted the holiday somewhat.
excellent location, clean and confortable. only slight minus was quite noisy late at night, but didn,t put us off our sleep. would definately stay there again.
Pm;u thng not told about before arrived was that in order to swim you had to wear a hat, which would cost 2 and a half euros. Object to having to wear a hat in this day and age and to have to pay for it as well. So did not have a swim as I would have liked to.
the camden court hotel was in walking distance of the city centre where there was so much to do. the staff were freindly and helpful at all times. the hotel itself was clean smart and comfortable and the food was wonderful. the fitness centre was an added bonus. thank you for a wonderful stay we will definatly be going again.
The hotel was clean and comfortable. We were doing the Dublin marathon and breakfast was brought forward an hour for the benefit of the competitors - a really nice touch. After the race we had access to the leisure facilities which was brilliant after a long run. The staff were extremely helpful throughout and I will stay here again next year. The room was a little small and fairly basic, but this did not detract from the overall value for money.
Bar service could be a bit quicker otherwise excellent hotel
For 121 Euros, one would expect something of a cut above the rest. The staff were generally helpful but I never caught one smile - reception, restaurant, bar - made no difference - cold and removed. The room was clean and reasonable - useful iron, great TV and good size. Beds were hard, pillows were uncomfortable and the shower was erratic (cold, then scorching hot, then cold) with an adjustable `massage` setting but considering the dribble of water that came from it, I would hardly thought it mattered - for a 4-star hotel, I expected better so no, wouldn`t use again.
Look forward to staying there again.
Enjoyed the stay in good clean comfortable rooms. Overall hotel was very good. Breakfast excellent for a buffet style operation. Staff on Reception very helpful.
Our 4 day stay was good value for money. Had special offer, 3 nights for the price of 2. A very well equipped comfortable hotel with great pool etc. Only thing that let it down was the blandness of room and found room a little tatty. Fairly good location but quite a long wak into town. Taxis are quite exensive but bus service is excellent and very reasonable if you buy a "Rambler" ticket which allows you to travel everywhere incl. airport during your stay.
I enjoyed my stay at the Camden Court hotel in August 2009. The hotel had excellent facilities to include the Gym and parking. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful thorughout my stay. It was also nice to stay in a hotel although not in the heart of Dublin with the trappings of allnight partying but close enough to walk to and avoid the buzz of the City Bars. The price was excellent for the facilities provided and would be happy to reccomend staying at the Camden Court to anyone consdierng staying overnight in Dublin.
good value for money, the spa is great after a night in dublin. the only complaint would be that the housekeeper came into the room at 8am on the first day of our stay. reception staff were very helpful and friendly, i would recommned this hotel to a friend.
Very modern and clean with excellent facilities. Great location as well.
Spa advertised on internet, not open when i arrived. This was known when i made my booking. I would have booked elsewhere. Staff and hotel good otherwise but overpriced compared to similar standard hotel without spa.
Stayed at the Camden Court with a party of 9. The hotel was clean, rooms spacious and the staff very pleasant and helpful. It`s in a good location only 10 mins walk from Grafton street and its shops or 20 mins from temple bar and the pubs. Would recommend.
Very helpful staff, lovely reception /bar and restaurant /pool areas, clean and comfortable bedrooms, Very good breakfast included. Evening restaurant pricey for amount of food served. Some may complain about noisy road and nextdoor pub but if your room is at rear of hotel you dont hear that at all.
